USE OF CO2 MONITORING TO MANAGE VENTILATION

01 Dec, 2022

over the past three years, the virus has been spreading worldwide. It has become the biggest challenge for many countries.

Droplet and aerosol transmission is two ways for virus spreading. A well-ventilated space can reduce the possibility of droplet and aerosol transmission,so good ventilation is important to fight against virus. However, how should us know whether it’s with good ventilation? A CO2 monitor can help you here.

CO2 is in our exhaled breath. In a indoor environment,if the CO2 value is high than 1500ppm regularly,it indicate that ventilation is poor. While if the CO2 value is always lower than 800 ppm,it tells good ventilation.

Now some local governments in Europe have relevant rules about using a CO2 monitor to assess the ventilation in indoor environment.
